Beat Feed Instrumentals – Episode 36
Not all producers follow the traditional cadences and arrangements of hip hop, and a lot of times their attempt at sounding progressive actually just sounds wack to your ears. This episode features producers who know how to make it sound dope. Setting it off is my man Nasa with the instrumental to “Berserker Fury” off his latest collab album with Chicago’s Shortfuze. The album is titled Lobotomy Music, and it’s filled with beats the Uncommon Records prez calls “proggy hip hop”. Next up is a man from Definitive Jux, where Nasa engineered before starting his own label, El-P. This is another monster leak, called “Whores: The Movie”, off his album WEAREALLGOINGTOBURNINHELLMEGAMIXXX3. We wrap up this episode with a track called “The Strangest Secret”. It’s the first single off Nick Nack‘s new release Dearly Departed, and he put together a clever creation incorporating soundbites, classic cuts and more than one bpm. Show your support.
