NEW FORMAT! Similar to what I do on IndieFeed Hip Hop, I will now be announcing the artist, song title, and release, right in the Beat Feed episode. This should be more beneficial to the beat makers, as the info will reach those of you who don’t read the info in theiTunes posts, or on the website. I will still be posting all the Buy / Download links at Beat Feed, so continue to go there and support these producers by clicking those links, making those purchases, and spreading the word about the talent you hear. Peace! – Dirt E. Dutch, Beat Feed
This latest episode pops off with a little diddy I produced for a b-side song on Breez Evahflowin’s“Ageless”single, from his album As He Goes On. Feeling that it was a track that needed more exposure, I quickly made it the lead single on my free compilation release Hit The Dutchman. The full song features the lyrical talents of Roc Doogie, Breez, myself, and Core Rhythm, along with Pauley Ethnic on the hook. Next up is a banger from DJ Premier, the beat to “Fine By Me ft. MC Eiht”, which they just release as a single. This song is part of the Year Round Records compilation, Get Used To Us, which features an onslaught of Preemo production and talented MC features. Taking us home is the one and only Madlib, with his remix for “The Woman Behind Me”, by Percee P. This is one of 12 Madlib and Percee P remixes available on Perserverance (The Madlib Remix). You shouldn’t have to be reminded to support these artists by purchasing their music, but I can’t stress it enough. If you don’t support the music you love monetarily, the music you love will eventually fade away. Artists need money to pay the rent and feed their kids, and pay their bills, just like everybody else. If they invest their time creating music for you instead of a 9 to 5, where do you think their money will come from? The fans. No where else. So instead of ordering that pizza pie this weekend, buy a hip hop album from an artist you love listening to. Peace. – Dirt E. Dutch, Beat Feed
Celebrating 1 Year of Beat Feed! You’re hearing some real heavy heat in this latest episode starting off with dutch producer Beatsofreen. This joint is called “Harmonics”, and it’s part of his new all instrumental release Future Memories, and you can download that for free. You can listen to it straight through and not be disappointed. Next up is truly a gift from the good people over at Mello Music Group. This week only you can grab the entire instrumental release for Diamond District‘s debut album In the Ruff, free! The featured track here is produced by the mighty Kev Brown, and it’s the beat for their song “Something For Y’all”. Topping off the show is a feel good number called “Heart and Soul”. It was produced by Baby James, a producer from Oakland who’s no stranger to success. His music has been featured in motion pictures such as Malibu’s Most Wanted, My Baby’s Daddy, and Any Given Sunday. Support this artist by purchasing this single, which is available now on iTunes. Use the links people! Support all these artists by casting your dollar vote, and spreading the word about the magic they create. Peace! – Dirt E. Dutch, Beat Feed
It’s hard to follow a series of DJ Premier beats, but have confidence that this episode does not fall short by any means. First up is a classy banger from producer Ammbush. It’s called “MC Ambition”, and it’s part of Drums & Ammo Vol 1. Drums & Ammo is a four-man production team that also includes 6Fingers, REL & Al Jieh. Make sure you grab this free download and then support them by spreading the word. Next up is another crispy smanger from Brooklyn’s own, Willie Green. This one is off his new free release Four Seasons – Spring (Movement 1). This is a 20 minute mix of instrumentals perfect for the impending warm weather here in the northeast. Topping off the show is some sub heavy goodness off Workforce‘s debut album Apples and Sunshine. The beat is for the song “Maybe” and it was produced by the multi-talented Connecticut native, Cee Reed. Cee now fronts a hip-hop/rock fusion band called Total Dick, and you can catch them playing shows throughout the Tri-State area regularly. Support these artists, as you should, and don’t forget to support Beat Feed by leaving it a 5 Star Review on iTunes. Peace! – Dirt E. Dutch, Beat Feed
